Fireplace Art
I couple of days ago, it got really cold here in Dallas, we decided to light a fire in the fireplace. After some time of it burning and coming to an end, the embers were remarkably bright. I love how this photo looks. It has a sense of calm and tranquility. As I sat here watching the embers, I zoned and was completely caught by the flicker, crackle, and brilliance of the embers. I remember seeing past the embers into nothing.
Here is the image.

2011 Winter Solstice - Window Decoration
I wanted to do something with the big window at the front of our home. I also wanted to give it a child's touch. So I invited my niece, Alexis, to come over and help me out. My thought was to create something different from all the other decorations around. I decided to use a black light. Finding one was not difficult, what was difficult was knowing whether one would be enough to light the whole decoration. My initial thought was yes, one would be enough. I started on Friday, Dec 23 at 5pm and finished at 10:45pm. The finished product was amazing.
So, here it is, my Winter Solstice Window Decoration.

::Look::
This time, I took it back a little, decided on a better focused image and then processed it. Vibrant and colorful.

::Repetition in Red::
I love how this image came out.
I actually took the picture with light coming from the left, so I rotated this image 90 degrees right, to give the illusion the light was coming from above.

When I took this, I had no idea what was floating above it. Until I processed it. Amazing!

Sometimes, I don't even know what is happening, but then it hits me. I'm scarred for life now.
