This was a gift from a friend.  I am not sure what its use is but its textures was harsh, its scent pleasant, but unknown is the use of this spice.

::Reflections of Color::

The warped effect that glass has on color is amazing, I love this effect. The black color is pushed back while the bright blues and reds fight for attention.

::Vase::

Using the same lighting style from yesterday, I decided to try something a bit more shiny and large.  This is a jar that was passed down to me from one of my landlords.  I kept it cause its a unique look.  I liked the color and the chrome plated metal base.  So, I used a single light flashed three times.  I tried cleaning it, but I still kept getting lots of specs everywhere on the glass and the chrome.  So I left it as is.

::Anatomy of a Button::

This caught my eye, while packing some things.  I took it out of its plastic sleeve and placed it on paper.  I love the shadows and the highlights.  This turned out better than I had planned.  I was thinking of using two lights, but decided on just one.

On 75 this evening, we were going down 75 and noticed a bumpy road.  So I decided to do this freehand.  It's ok for my first at this type of photo.  I will try this again, but with a more stable setup.

::Trapped Bubbles::

I've always loved the color green.  This is a glass pebble.  I had looked at before, but this time, I liked how the two bubbles in this one looked,  I positioned the light to the right and above.  The glow in the bubbles and the glow in the pebble, looked really nice.

::Glowing Blade::

Actually not a blade.  This is a tack.  I enjoyed yesterdays shoot and decided to continue this evening and went with only singles.  This one had a more medieval feel to it.  I enhanced the feeling by processing it in photoshop.  This looks like a +2 sword/dagger/something? or an artifact...yes, I'll go with that.

::The Pointy Ones::

I took one and placed under the lens, Only one light was used.  I liked how it came out, I over exposed by 2 stops.  I decided to add more to the mix and see what I could come up with.  This gets the point across.

::The Pink Spiral Galaxy::

This one was fun.  I had worked with this technique before, but the light I used had an almost dead battery.  I think what happened here is that the low battery was to the point where it could not flash the light bright enough, that is what gave the dots of light on this image.  Cool.

Ever wonder what these circuit boards look like up close.  Yes, we have seen them before, but this one is an Audigy2 ZS Sound Blaster and it's from an old Dell, about 4 years old. This is only 1/128 of the board.
